Ashley Parker Owens is a writer, poet, and artist living in Richmond, Kentucky. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Kentucky University, and an MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University.

Dinosaur Winter (Digital Painting)
Her micro-visual poems are only one or a few words combined with an image. The words or phrases are vague, so the viewer can explore multiple meanings, similar to a Rorschach test, or a writer’s prompt.

Dragonfly (Digital Painting)
To create her digital paintings, Ashley sources material from the public domain and combines parts of photos with parts of illustrations to make images. She then alter the images to ‘blend’ them into a coherent image with an ‘actor’ in a setting, hoping to spark a story in the viewer’s mind.
