Justin Bendell is an MFA candidate and writing instructor at FIU in Miami. His writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Hayden’s Ferry Review, Confluence, Sojourns and Florida Book Review, among others. He philosophically supports tacos, banana trees, magnificent frigatebirds, allspice, and blueberry muffins, and is currently at work on a collection of short stories set in his adopted hometown, Tucson, Arizona.
