Painter Vivian Calderon Bogoslavsky was born in Colombia, where she studied Anthropology (with a minor in History) and received a graduate degree in Journalism from the Universidad de Los Andes, in Bogota. After studying art with recognized artist Carlos Orrea, she traveled to Florence, Italy, to expand her knowledge of the craft. She’s currently pursuing studies in Fine Arts and Design.
Vivian’s work has been featured in collective and individual exhibits in Colombia, Italy, Panama, and the United States. She’s been awarded the prestigious “Meditat Israel 60 years” in September 2008. In 2011, she won 1st place at the “Paint the Plugs Project” by the Susquehanna Museum and Friends of Midtown . In 2013, she won 3rd place at the Students Honor Show, which ran from April 11th to May 4th.
